New Wednesday Evening Adult Class

experience Life – learning to follow Jesus in a me-centered world

Every day, the world screams at us, “You’re number one. Look out for yourself – your own comfort and happiness.” But that’s not what Jesus said. He told us to follow Him. And following Him means we’re not number one – Jesus is.

In this class, we will explore what it means to surrender to Jesus and the dynamic impact following Christ will have on our personal lives, our relationships, and our service to others.

This class will consist of four video-driven sessions by Pete Briscoe, Pastor and Author of The Surge

Wednesday Evening Activities

Join us for our Wednesday Evening Activities every Wednesday night!

“Take a Night Off” Dinner (6-6:30pm):

Meal cost: Adult $2.50, Child $1.50, Family $6.50

Wednesday Evening’s Activities (7:00–8:15pm):

There is a class for everyone!  Nursery (ages 0-2), Daisies (ages 3-5), Girls Ministry (school age girls), Royal Rangers (school age boys), The Threshold Youth Group, and Adult Class: Crazy Love by Francis Chan

Crazy Love by Francis Chan – Did you know that God is crazy about you? His love is the most powerful thing in the world and He wants to give it to you, so you can live for Him. The answer to religious complacency isn’t working harder at a list of dos and don’ts—it’s falling in love with God. God calls each of us to a passionate love relationship with Himself. In this ten-week series, Francis Chan will show how to respond to that love with a selfless, Christ-like life! Let the love you have received from God impact your life like never before.

New Wednesday Evening Adult Class

A Savior is Born – Experience the Wonder of the First Christmas.

How can we prepare our hearts to celebrate the birth of our Savior in our frantic, consumer-driven society? How do we make sure Christmas remains a Holy Day?

Join us for this four-week class, during which we’ll experience cinematic short films that capture events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ, as well as  Scripture to bring us back to the roots and heart of our faith in Christ.

Family Picnic at the Beach!

Wednesday, August 18th

Take the family for a night out at Veteran’s Park. Bring your own picnic supper and your swimsuits for a great night of fellowship and fun!

We have reserved the shelter/kitchen area for our use from 5-10pm. Come when you can.

We will have a few organized games, but feel free to bring your own activities as well.

WM’s, Missionettes, & Youth Fundraiser

Come on out to the Concert in the Park on Thursday, July 8th from 6-8:00pm to support and help raise money for WM’s, Missionettes, and Youth as they serve Sloppy Joe’s, Hot Dogs, Chips, Bars, and Beverages.

New Wednesday Night Class – “Keep Climbing”

Join us for a new Wednesday Night Adult Class beginning May 12, 2010!

“Keep Climbing – Why God Doesn’t Give You Everything You Want” 

Life is hard. We pray and ask God to help, but many times it seems like He’s not there. We know God can perform miracles, yet our problems remain. Is God listening? Does God care?

This four-session class will explore how God works with us through the challenges in our lives.

Session 1 – Leaving Comfort Behind (Wednesday, May 12)

Session 2 – Flatten the Moutain (Wednesday, May 19)

Session 3 – Climbing in Silence (Wednesday, May 26)

Session 4 – A Better View (Wednesday, June 2)

(A note to parents: We have classes for all ages and nursery for the babies, so bring the whole family to church and be blessed!)

New Adult Wednesday Evening Class – GOD PROVIDES

God Provides – 

Throughout history, people have wrestled with the concept of trusting God to meet their needs versus relying on their own efforts, other people, money, or other things society has to offer.

Thankfully, through stirring accounts and parables found in the Bible, God reveals how He wants to be our Provider above anything else.

These relevant stories present us wisdom, truth, encouragement and practical steps we can take to develop and deepen a relationship of trust with the God of the universe.
