4/24/11 – Empty tomb, living Savior!
The death and resurrection of Jesus is the most important thing in our faith. The apostle Paul said that if Christ has not been raised, then our faith is futile and we are still in our sins. May we know that our Lord is alive and that He did conquer sin and death on that cross and in that tomb; He arose and He lives today in our midst. May our lives be forever changed by the events of that Easter so long ago. Because of that momentous event, we have the eternal hope of heaven and the forgiveness of sin. Let us live in a way that Easter is a reality now and forevermore in our lives.

4/17/11 – Be careful of familiarity
Palm Sunday is a day in which we remember the triumphal entry of Jesus into the city of Jerusalem. This event took place just shortly before Jesus was arrested and crucified. Each year, churches across the world recognize this Sunday as a part of the Easter Celebration. The great challenge for each of us is not to become desensitized to the familiarity of the wonderful events we remember and honor as we go through this holiday season. May we see the true meaning of why Jesus did what He did! May it never become just another holiday or just another day. May we see the Easter Story with fresh eyes. May its truth and power be realized now in our lives as if it were the first time we had ever heard it.

4/10/11 – Proper Perspective
It has always been fascinating to me, how two different individuals can see and hear the same thing and yet have completely different reactions and emotions regarding it. One sees the positive in it and the other sees only the negative aspect of it. One thing I have learned in life regarding this topic and truth: our perspective and attitude on daily events and situations that we face plays a huge role in our quality and happiness in life. There’s an old saying that defines it well, “What you see is what you get”. This truth and fact not only affects the emotional and physical side of our lives, it also greatly influences the spiritual realm of our lives. Are you living in fear or are you empowered in faith?

4/3/11 – Change your thinking and it will change you
The study of psychology has proven and revealed that there are two mental laws that contribute greatly to our mental and physical state of being. They are the law of concentration, and the law of substitution. The law of concentration states that whatever we think and dwell upon will become our actual life experience. The law of substitution states that our conscience mind can only hold one thought at a time. We can make a choice to substitute one thought for another. The Lord understood and recognized these principles very well. This is not something psychologists invented or dreamed up in our modern era; God the Creator formed and brought these truths into mankind’s makeup and design. Happiness, peace, joy, and victory come into our lives when we stop dwelling on all that’s wrong with our lives and begin to dwell on good and noble things.
