12/13/09 – The Call Of Mary
When the angel Gabriel appeared before the young virgin Mary and told her of God’s plan, it must have come as quite a shock. She must have had some great fears of the consequences about to take place in her life as others found out about her pregnancy. Rather than argue or disagree with the angel. She simply by faith and obedience said “I am the Lords servant, may it be according to your word”.
We too yet today, are called to carry the presence of Christ to a lost world. Will we be obedient as Mary was? Will we be the vessels of forgiveness, healing, grace and compassion to our modern day world? Will we birth and shine God’s presence?

12/6/09 – Hope and Joy in Christ
God sent to mankind the greatest gift of all when he sent his son Jesus Christ. His arrival on that first Christmas morning, gave to the world a new sense of hope and assurance that nothing else can give. He is the reason for the season! May we choose during this hectic and stressful time of advent to recognize and remember the true meaning of Christmas. May we not allow the commercialism of this holiday and spirit of political correctness rob us and our families of the wonderful presence of Christ in our Christmas.

11/29/09 – Stewards of Life
In the parable of the talents, we are challenged with the question of: How will we spend our lives? Our master and lord has entrusted to each of us certain resources and opportunities. Our money, time, relationships, etc.. are all on loan to us. They are not ours to use as we please! One day we will all give an account to God. The question for us today is, how are we doing? Will the master say to us “Good and Well done.” How are we responding to God’s goodness in our lives? Is he honored by our choices and actions? We have been given a choice, but there is coming a day where the master shall return and we will stand in judgment of those decisions which we have made.

11/22/09 – A Proper Perspective of Thanksgiving
We are truly blessed people. Sadly though, many do not recognize this fact. Rather than being people who claim God’s goodness in their lives, they complain and gripe! A truly happy person must be one with a thankful spirit and heart. They must be a person who keeps a proper perspective of their life and surroundings. God’s word clearly teaches us that we are to strive to be thankful in all situations and events. May we regularly count our blessings and strive to be thankful people.
