11/01/09 – Facing the Fear of Rejection

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could reject all unwanted rejections in our lives? When you try out for the team or apply for that job and you are told no. You would simply reply with: I’m sorry, but I choose to reject that rejection! I will see you at practice or I would love to start on Monday. Wouldn’t it be great to be able to do such a thing? The real world in which we live, does not work like that. Rejection is real and it is painful!

It is comforting to know that all of us at one time or another have faced rejection. Even Jesus Christ our Savior faced the scorn of his fellow man. None of us, including God’s son can please everyone all the time! Each of us needs to spend less time thinking on what others think of us and more time dwelling on what God thinks of us. We must put our energy into following his will for our life instead of mans plan for us. Let us live in faith rather than fear!
