5/10/09 – Honor thy Mother

May 9th, 1914 . President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed and signed into law that the 2nd Sunday of May each year is to be recognized as Mothers Day. This is a day in which we show a public expression and remembrance of those special ladies in our lives who have sacrificed and given so much for us. 3500 years prior to this act of the president and congress, God instructed each of us to respect and honor our parents. This is a commandment with a blessing attached to it when it is obeyed. May we show honor where honor is due. Let us make every effort to show love and respect to the moms in our lives.

May God then pour out his blessing on us as we are obedient to his word.
