5/24/09 – Let Us Remember
Many see the national holiday of “Memorial Day” as just another reason for an extended weekend. For others, it is just the official beginning of their summer. This should not be the case. It should be a time that each of us as American’s, recognize the great price and sacrifice given by of others so that we might enjoy the freedoms we do.
May we also in this time of remembrance, be thankful for the one who gave his life for the forgiveness of sin. Jesus Christ died on the cross so that we might be free from the power of sin and death. Let us look to the flag as a symbol of our freedom as Americans, bought and paid for by many individuals costly sacrifice. Let us look to the cross, as a symbol of our spiritual freedom bought and paid for by Jesus’ costly sacrifice.

5/10/09 – Honor thy Mother
May 9th, 1914 . President Woodrow Wilson proclaimed and signed into law that the 2nd Sunday of May each year is to be recognized as Mothers Day. This is a day in which we show a public expression and remembrance of those special ladies in our lives who have sacrificed and given so much for us. 3500 years prior to this act of the president and congress, God instructed each of us to respect and honor our parents. This is a commandment with a blessing attached to it when it is obeyed. May we show honor where honor is due. Let us make every effort to show love and respect to the moms in our lives.
May God then pour out his blessing on us as we are obedient to his word.

Parents, for the safety of the children, children are to be supervised by you at all times.
2:00PM – Clay Pigeon Shooting – Talk to Andy Soine with any questions.
4:00PM – Cowboy Golf and Bean Bag Toss Tournament
6:00PM – Bonfire/Potluck – Bring your camping chairs, roasting sticks, meat and a dish to pass.
Sunday: Campers – Afternoon Pontoon Ride on Rice Lake.
Monday: Take Down.

5/3/09 – Dare to be a Daniel
The story of Daniel in the Lion’s den has to rank in the top 10 of the most familiar and beloved passages of scripture. Even people who have never read their Bibles know of this story. It is a story filled with danger, courage, prayer and confidence in God’s faithfulness. May we desire a heart like Daniel and openly worship God in all circumstances. May we have hearts that trust and know God is watching over everything that happens to us, both in the good and the bad. May we choose as Daniel to live out our faith in a way that others might learn of and come to know the true God who can and will do amazing things in and through those who trust and follow after him.
