3/22/09 – Beware of Temptation – Part of the OT Character Series
David, a man who loved God with all his heart, ended up doing something he would regret for the rest of his life. All of us can learn from his tragic mistake. No matter how strong we may think our faith is, we are vulnerable just as David was. If he could commit such a terrible sin, so could each of us. If we are not alert and aware of the enemies tactics, we too are susceptible to the damaging effects of sin. May we be careful in our spiritual journey and avoid becoming an easy target of temptation. It will save us and others from great sorrow and pain.

All of us at times face giants in our lives. They often seem beyond our power and ability to handle. May we hear David’s story of battling Goliath and recognize God’s power within us. Let us trust Him as David did and we will see that our God is more powerful than any giant we will ever face
